Hometown Nazareth, where Jesus was a kid

Hometown Nazareth, where Jesus was a kid Imagine what it was like to live and work in the dusty town of Nazareth, just as Jesus was beginning his ministry around Galilee. You'd hear whisperings about Mary's son, Jesus-the local carpenter's kid who says he's the Son of God. Maybe the boy Jesus even had dinner at your house or played tag with your kids. As you tend your sheep or bake, perhaps you secretly wonder if it's really possible that Jesus-the boy down the street- could be the Messiah.

Hometown Nazareth, where Jesus was a kid At Hometown Nazareth, everyone will get to explore the culture of Jesus' boyhood. Too often, the bible just feels like an old history book. After all, those things did happen a long time ago. Kids and adults might sometimes forget that Jesus was a boy who had a family, friends, neighbors, a home, and a church. In Mark 6, Jesus returned to his hometown…and got an unfriendly reception from many of his neighbors.

Every day, kids and adults will be challenged to share God's love and their belief in Jesus with shopkeepers, Mary's neighbor, the tax collector, the rabbi, and the Fun and Games leader.

Hometown Nazareth, where Jesus was a kid Kids and adults will be assigned to one of the 12 tribes. You will travel together -worshipping, learning about Jewish culture, exploring the Marketplace, visiting Mary's House, and digging into Scripture. Everyone will learn to watch for evidence of God in everyday life.

Meet Mary and hear her perspective on Jesus' birth, the visit from the Magi, and other stories from Jesus' infancy through your adulthood. Also, see how Mary interacts with her nosey neighbor, Eunice, who doesn't believe that Jesus is really God's Son.

Hometown Nazareth, where Jesus was a kid You can visit all the shops in the Marketplace, such as the carpentry shop and the Food Market. Buy snacks with the "Shekels" you will be given each day to spend.

Hometown Nazareth is filled with high-energy games, hands-on crafts, interactive Bible drama, and tasty snacks. Everyone will learn new skills, plus, they will get insights into Jesus' boyhood and learn how to apply those lessons to their own life.

Hometown Nazareth, where Jesus was a kid Jesus had a family… Jesus had a name… Jesus had a home… Jesus went to church… Jesus served others and you know what…So Do We.
