Foundations of the Christian Faith

Introduction to the Old Testament

As the second module in SLTA’s diploma curriculum, this Introduction to the Old Testament offers valuable insights into the vast array of writings found in the Old Testament (OT), including prose, poetry, prophecy, and much more. In all these writings, we see both how Christ is at center of the OT and how the OT is ultimately fulfilled in Him. Pastor Paul Willweber offers considerable expertise in this field. American Lutheran History

ELCA? LCMS? WELS? Etc. From where did all of these Lutheran denominations come? How did we get there? American Lutheran History is a ten week course which explores the origins of US Lutheran churches from the colonial period to today. Pastor James Huenink will lead the class through the formative periods of Lutheranism in America. The course will also explore the social and political movements which affected the ways in which Lutherans changed from their immigrant roots to being present-day “American Lutherans.” The course begins on Thursday, 28 September 2023, 7:00-8:30 pm.
